Dr. Ryan Filler is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. His practice encompasses the full spectrum of operative and nonoperative treatments, with expertise in minimally invasive surgery, sports injuries, fractures and trauma, degenerative conditions, complex deformity correction, and total ankle replacement. He is dedicated to restoring function and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy.
Dr. Filler grew up in Arizona and earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. He completed orthopaedic surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California, followed by fellowship training in Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), and Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Filler enjoys nature, cooking, home improvement projects, and spending time with his family. He is excited to be part of the Central Coast community and sees patients in the San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, and Santa Maria offices.
