Dr. Luke Lovro is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction and general orthopaedics. His career is characterized by a blend of engineering precision and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. His goal is returning patients to their desired level of mobility.

Dr. Lovro’s clinical focus includes adult reconstruction, including conservative arthritis treatment, total knee and hip replacements, and revision surgeries. He also does general orthopaedics and basic trauma. His patient-centered approach emphasizes mutual decision-making and collaboration with patients to tailor treatment plans that align with their individual goals and desired levels of mobility. He is dedicated to utilizing both innovative surgical techniques and conservative treatments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Dr. Lovro’s academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University, where he developed a robust understanding of biomechanics and analytical problem-solving. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Mexico School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Southern California (USC), serving as Administrative Chief Resident and gaining valuable experience in clinical management and leadership.

To further advance his expertise, Dr. Lovro pursued a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Indiana University, specializing in complex joint replacements and advanced reconstruction techniques. This specialized training complements his extensive experience in general orthopaedics.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lovro is actively involved in research and has presented his findings at national conferences. His contributions to the field reflect his commitment to advancing orthopaedic care through evidence-based practices.

Dr. Lovro has been recognized with several honors, including the Eagle Scout Award, membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society, and the Gold Humanism Award. These accolades highlight his leadership, academic achievements, and compassionate approach to patient care.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lovro enjoys a range of personal interests including golf, basketball, ceramics, cooking, and traveling with his family. These activities contribute to a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle, reflecting his commitment to both personal well-being and professional excellence.
