
Bailey Mena began her academic career at California Lutheran University (CLU) in Thousand Oaks, CA. There she participated in women’s water polo and conducted research with the Self and Social Interaction lab, which she presented at the Western Psychological Association two years in a row. She graduated from CLU with Latin Honor Magna Cum Laude in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Health and Wellness Application. Bailey then went on to work as a medical scribe in the emergency department at Kaweah Health Medical Center for 2 years before beginning her journey at Chapman University’s PA program in 2021. During her time at Chapman, Bailey volunteered alongside her physical therapist colleagues within the university to evaluate rehabilitating stroke patients, as well as volunteering with MedFest through which she helped to complete sports physicals for participants in the Special Olympics. Her clinical training took place throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County. She completed her clinical training in December 2022. Bailey is a native to Visalia, CA. Outside of work she enjoys cycling, being near the water, and taking her dog to the dog park.
