James C. Kasper, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with specialty fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine where he graduated with highest distinction. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency at The University of Southern California where he also served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he obtained further fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group in Santa Monica, California. While there, his training focused on arthroscopic shoulder, knee and hip surgery, articular cartilage repair and minimally invasive surgical techniques. In addition, Dr. Kasper was a team doctor for the US Men and Women's National Soccer Teams, Chivas USA Major League Soccer, Pepperdine University, and Amgen Tour of California
Dr. Kasper continues to be actively involved in sports medicine. Currently, Dr. Kasper and his partners serve as team physicians for Allan Hancock College, Pioneer Valley, Righetti, St. Joeseph's, and Santa Maria High Schools. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, California Orthopedic Association, and Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Kasper's patient office is located in Santa Maria and every Wednesday in Pismo Beach. He operates in both Santa Maria and the Pismo Surgery Center.
